I just have to use this media to tell the world about the great birds in Peru. I was just organizing my bird photos with the google photo editor program Picasa2 and noticed one may upbload photos from this program straight into a blog (also run by google of course).
Since www.kolibriexpeditions.com has such terrible ranking on google.com using the most apt keywords for our activity - birding peru - something drastic needed to be done. Maybe a blog with that name showing the electronic world what we are up to will do the trick. We'll see maybe it works - may it doesn't. Otherwise, the best search engine is not google any more.
Try www.Ask.com instead. Having Kolibri Expeditions for the key words "birding peru" among the top 5 is where the ranking should be if orderly ranking is done. For some reason something is slowing our performance on google. There is some talk about that google put new web-pages in the sandbox. See this link and this. Well if this is true, we should be out of it long ago, because it is said that up to 6 months is how long a new site is kept in the sand box at the longest. Furthermore, the sandbox filter started in March 2004 according to of the articles.
The poor ranking is somewhat compensated that we own the birding portal www.birding-peru.com, where one can find a lot of birding information from Peru is in one place. Our trips are featured on the tour page. Other companies may also post their trips here, but so far only occasionally have other companies posted here.
This blog could maybe help google ranking.... we'll see!!
Nough talking. Got some updates on the web-site that needs to be done.
